Kyanite

Kyanite (also known as disthene, rhaeticite, and cyanite) is a typically blue silicate mineral, commonly found in aluminium-rich metamorphic pegmatites and/or sedimentary rock.   A bladed mineral with a pearly luster, Kyanite may have color variations including black, white, green, gray, yellow, and orange, depending on the inclusion of compound minerals.   It is strongly anisotropic, a defining characteristic of Kyanite, meaning that its hardness varies depending on its crystallographic direction.

Kyanite is great for meditation and attunement, as it's a tranquilizing yet powerful transmitter of high frequency energies. It is said that Kyanite helps one to connect to spirit guides, while instilling compassion and connection to the world and universe as one with heightened intuition and awareness.  It facilitates dream recall and promotes healing dreams through the subconscious during sleep.   Also a great mineral for those nearing death as it liberates us from deceptive fears and replenishes our innate, peaceful notion of eternal and universal harmony in the collective unconscious.
